Galvanised rope thimbles that are designed to be placed within a rope loop to help protect the inside of the loop from abrasion and wear.

When a loop is required in a rope and this loop is used to attach to a fixture, such as a carbine hook, a thimble can help protect and preserve the rope as it prevents direct contact with the rope and so reduces abrasion, pinching and general wear.
