This rig is designed for John Dory, But being a livebait rig, it is equally effective on large snapper, Kahawai and Kingfish. With that in mind, we recommend you use a 15kg mainline. Attach a minimum 4oz sinker to the lighter line at the base of the rig which is designed to break away if snagged, saving the rig and the fish.

If hooking the livebait through the back, Make sure the kirb of the hook points up when the shank of hook lies towards the tail.
This is important as predator fish attack their prey head first and if the barb lay's against the skin of the livebait when the predator fish attacks, then this will result in NO HOOK-UP
