The Shimano Stradic family of reels is an old favourite amongst kiwi anglers and Shimano have recently released the Shimano Stradic series that have a range of models ideally suited for saltwater spinning applications from soft baiting, slow jigging to top water lure casting.

The range comes in the original pearl white colouring with a plethora of Shimano’s new advancements in technologies that breathes new life into this classic Shimano reel.

The range comes in a wide variety of sizes suited to light freshwater use for trout and salmon up to larger offshore fishing disciplines when targeting snapper, tuna and kingfish

The series also features X-Ship, which not only makes the fishing experience much more enjoyable with ultra-smooth retrieve’s, but also gives you more grunt when cranking in those larger saltwater species.

Hagane Body and Gears
The new Shimano Stradic C3000 FK HG Spinning Reel is enhanced by its Hagane Body and Hagane Gears, complementing the G Free Body design for better all-round performance. With amazing strength and durability, the Hagane gear is at the very heart of this reel - giving long-lasting smoothness and feel. Its entire surface is calculated in minute detail by 3D and formed by Shimano’s cold forging technology. And what's more, the reel’s rigid Hagane body is impact-resistant which virtually eliminates flexing – transforming each action into cranking power.

X-Ship
This reel features X-Ship, which not only makes the fishing experience much more enjoyable with ultra-smooth retrieves, but also gives you more grunt when cranking in those larger saltwater species. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with S-ARB bearings and integrating a bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing efficiency and power of this rod. This results in a fishing reel with ultra-light handle rotation.

Dyna Balance
This feature eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing, an approach similar to car tire balancing, Shimano is able to redistribute the rotor weight to create smooth rotation and eliminate vibrations caused by the reel.
