Introducing Uniden’s unique all in one VHF marine 2-way radio with GPS capabilities. The MHS245 is well-engineered with submersible and floating design to ensure the radio is robust and rugged for rigorous marine conditions.
The GPS function allows you to identify and pinpoint your current position as well as manually enter other positions. You can save positions into a directory and return to them as desired. This unique feature is an emergency necessity and efficient when at sea, allowing you to call other stations or groups using their unique identification code with the DSC Class D function.
With features such as Man Over Board (MOB) alerts you to lock onto and mark a waypoint when a distressful situation occurs at a press of a button, giving you more control of your safety in the palm of your hands.
MHS245 waterproof and lightweight design makes it easily retrievable at hand if dropped overboard. Customised with a reversible LCD display allowing you to change from light characters on dark background to dark characters on light background to tailor to your needs.
This is Uniden’s one of a kind, built in with a GPS in a way to ensure guaranteed safety at sea.
 
Complies with floating IPX8/JIS8 water-resistant standards, which means the radio can be submerged in 1.5 metre of water for 60 minutes without damage. The charger is not waterproof.
The radio will only meet this rating if fully assembled and all rubber seals and sealing plus are well maintained and correctly fitted. This means that the battery pack is attached and securely fastened.

* Waterproof: Meets the world standard JIS8 level. Being defined as having no ingress of water when immersed at 1.5 metre for 60 minutes. All accessories are not waterproof.
After your radio is submerged in water, the sound might be distorted. This is because there is still water remaining in and around the speaker and microphone. Just shake the radio to clear excess water, and the sound should return to normal.
If your radio is exposed to salt water, clean it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it before turning it on.
The charger is not waterproof.
