Memory-Map navigation software is easy to use on a PC or Pocket PC. It helps you plan your routes and print maps or charts. With the new Relief Shading print options you'll see 3D terrain on an accurate 2D scale map. Just a glance at the map shows all the hills and valleys making it easy to interpret contour lines.

4. PLOT GPS - Connect a GPS to a Laptop or Pocket PC for an off-road SatNav system. See your position real time on a moving map display. Display a pointer arrow showing the direction, bearing and distance to the next waypoint. The map scrolls and records a track as you move. Project your current course and speed for a given time to see where you’ll be. Create a warning zone around an area and an alarm is activated should you enter the zone.

5. PERFORMANCE REVIEW - Import tracks from a GPS to see exactly where you've been, your speed and distance covered. Create a digital journal by adding pictures, text, sound or other program files to any point on the map.

3D VIEW: Bring the included maps (or your own) and Aerial Photos to life with the new 3D View tool. Visualise routes and tracks in an interactive 3D terrain model. Pan, zoom and spin the map or change the lighting to envision the hills during different times of the day.

3D-View takes off with the Fly mode. Automatically fly through 3D terrain along your own route or track or pilot the flight yourself using the manual Fly mode controls. Select your camera angle, height and position, then record and play back your own custom flight path.

North Island regions centre on Lake Taupo with a 20km overlap. From Lake Taupo the breaks head directly north, west, and roughly south-east (to Paoanui Point).

The South Island regions also feature a 20km overlap. The break between regions 4 & 5 runs from 6km north of Greymouth through to Cheviot / Gore Bay. The break between regions 5 & 6 runs from the coast near Lake Paringa to 4km south of Timaru.
