Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Multitool
The collaboration between Gerber's more than 70 years of knife and gear expertise with Bear Grylls' extensive outdoor survival and adventure experience to create this line of knives, tools and gear. At the age of 23 Bear was entered into The Guinness Book of Records as the youngest, and one of only around thirty, British climbers to have successfully climbed Everest and returned alive. From his time in the British Special Air Service, to hosting his survival television show Man Vs. Wild all over the globe, to his position as UK Chief Scout, Bear knows what it takes to be a survivor in extreme situations. Each item in the Survival Series is meticulously designed by Gerber and Bear to offer a multitude of uses in any environment.
The Gerber Bear Grylls Compact multitool features 2 full-size blades yet is still small enough to put on a keychain or slip in your pocket. Description: The only compact multi-tool with two full size blades on it. The Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Multi Tool is small enough for a keychain or pocket, yet packs a big punch when you need it most.
The Gerber Bear Grylls Compact Multitool is a smaller multitool than normal multitools and is part of the Bear Grylls series that Gerber makes using the Bear Grylls name. The tools are stainless steel
The grips are a non-slip design and feel comfortable when using the multitool. If you have big hands this small multitool might be difficult to use, due to its small size. The pliers have a nice spring action, which is always a nice thing when using multitool pliers. You definitely need to consider that this is a lower end multitool and small so you can’t use it for power jobs that you might use a heavier duty multitool for. The serrated knife is pretty decent for cutting things. The pliers are decent if you keep the size of this multitool in mind. Don’t go using them to bend some strong steel chain links, you may wind up bending your pliers instead. The tweezers are rather short but that is to be expected with a compact multitool like this one. Overall this multitool is good for the price if you get it on Amazon but if you need something heavy duty then this is not the multitool for you. I am not a big fan of the sharp edged knife but then again I don’t buy multitools for their knives. Although this multitool is good when you consider the price you paid, you won’t be calling this the best multitool any time soon.
This multitool comes with the Bear Grylls Pocket Survival Guide which is nothing more than a novelty item to me. I believe they include this with all the Bear Grylls Survival Series items
