In 2007 Daiwa introduce two new versions, the low gear ratio Crazy Cranker, designed for cranking down deep diving crankbaits and the limited edition super tuned HLC -Hyper Long Cast designed for casting large heavy lures.

Free Floating
Unlike other reels, where the pinion gear constantly rides the shaft, Daiwa’s unique system floats the independently on precision, stainless steel ball bearings. Because the pinion rides its own separate shaft, the spins freely, unhampered by gear train friction when casting. 

Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings
Shielded For Extra Protection. Unlike ordinary ‘corrosion resistant’ bearings with an unprotected open race, Daiwa’s CRBB bearings are shielded to seal out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives for even longer life.
